Summary The Volunteer & Human Resources Coordinator supports the HR team in all functional areas related to volunteers and employees. Performs a variety of administrative tasks and projects for all areas of the department, including but not limited to the Volunteer Program, Benefits, Recruiting, Performance Management, Compliance, Training, and Recordkeeping. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Supporting all processes and procedures related to the Integration of the Volunteer Program into Human Resources. • Responding to inquiries about volunteer and employment opportunities; recruiting, interviewing, reference and background checks, tracking data, and supporting the HR team with interviewing and placement of employees and volunteers, as needed. • Promoting positive employee and volunteer relations by handling requests for information efficiently and accurately, and by providing excellent customer service. Communicate current policies and procedures accurately and clearly. • Responding to inquiries about Escorted Transportation Service (ETS); conducting driving record checks; compiling monthly ETS statistics; billing ETS clients. • Coordination and project management of Life Stories and other programs, as assigned. • Assisting with recognition events throughout the year • Assisting with departmental newsletter and other organizational communications. • Preparing various reports and the ability to analyze results. • Assisting with outreach efforts, promoting the volunteer program through volunteer websites, internal and external print and electronic publications. Attending volunteer and community events as needed. Requirements Position requires • Bachelor’s degree • Minimum of two years of volunteer and/or human resources experience • Non-profit experience, a plus • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills • Collaborative, team player who is results driven with a passion for learning and personal/professional development. • Experience and ability in maintaining highly detailed written and electronic data in a confidential, accurate and timely manner • Intermediate to Advanced MS Office Suite skills and ability to quickly learn new programs and databases.
