The Residence Life Manager will be responsible for coordinating the residential needs of a group of college age students with disabilities in a dorm setting. The Residence Life Manager will create and set a tone for a peaceful and productive living environment for students. This individual will serve as a liaison between the residence hall facility, university personnel, and the PACE staff. This position will include organizational, instructional, and interpersonal responsibilities. This is a full-time, ten month, live-in position with required daytime hours, instructional and evening on-call responsibilities. The specific duties will include: Compile dorm contracts; Organize dorm space; Inventory/upkeep dorm supplies; Organize and maintain recycling program; Schedule computer monthly maintenance; report problems to OIT; Report and follow up on other dorm maintenance issues; Organize dinner groups; Provide counts of students food use; Post dorm information; Reinforce dorm rules/policies & procedures; Implement check in/out procedures. In addition, this individual will meet weekly with Student Life team; Participate in weekly PACE staff meetings; Participate in activity planning with the Student Life team; Participate/assist in RA training; Participate/assist in student ambassador training; Set up monthly/quarterly RA schedules; This individual will also be responsible for morning and late afternoon on call supervision of students; Weekly mentoring meeting with PACE Director; Monitor and maintain Best Notes records, reports, incidents, and logs that reflect methodology used in dorm and specific facts regarding student concerns; Provide life skills instruction to a caseload of students; Act as support for RAs; Facilitate meetings with students regarding concerns using the PACE problem solving strategy; Assist PACE staff with additional responsibilities as needed.
