Join the SBAC and Jewish B2B for our First Annual Business Leaders Delegation trip to Springfield on April 30th. Our State legislative leaders influence and shape policies that directly affect our local business community. As small and mid-size business owners, it is important to have our voices, thoughts, and ideas heard by the decision makers in Springfield. Our one-day trip will include meetings Department Chairs, State House and Senate leadership. We will also enjoy a lunch reception at the Governor's mansion!


The tentative schedule is:


5:30am - bus pickup in Skokie, IL
6am - bus pickup in downtown Chicago
(coffee and bagels served en-route)
9am - meeting with State Treasurer Dan Rutherford
9:45am - meeting with State Comtroller Judy Baar Topinka
10:30am - meeting with Lt. Governor Sheila Simon
11:15am - meeting with Small Business Committee Chairman LeShawn Ford
12pm - lunch at Governor's Mansion - brief remarks from Governor Pat Quinn
1:30pm - delegation participants will be split into smaller lobbying groups, led by a leader:
Group A - State Rep. Lou Lang, State Senator Ira Silverstein, 
Group B - State Rep. Robyn Gabel, State Senator Daniel Biss
Group C - State Rep. Laura Fine, State Senator Christine Radongo
Group D - State Rep. Scott Drury, State Senator Julie Morrison
3:30pm - delegation participants will have two meeting options:
Option A - meeting with Illinois Dept. of Employment Security
Option B - meeting with Illinois Dept. of Commerce and Economic Opportunity
